Terms of Service

Effective 5 November 2026 · Quant Technologies Ltd

Please read these Terms carefully. They explain how Tideline may be used, by whom, and the responsibilities that come with it.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Tideline (the “Service”), operated by Quant Technologies Ltd(“we”, “us”). By signing in to or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Tideline is a security-intelligence application for authorised organisations. It collects publicly available content from third-party platforms and news services through their official APIs — currently X, YouTube, GNews and World News API — according to keywords, hashtags and accounts that your organisation’s administrators configure. It scores that content against rules your administrators control (optionally with an AI-assisted second opinion), groups corroborating records into detected events, and lets your team manage alerts, watchlists, email notifications and investigation cases.

Scores, severities, events and alerts are indicators to support human review. They are not findings of fact and are not decisions about any person.

3. Access and accounts

  • Accounts are created by your organisation’s administrators. There is no public sign-up.
  • You must keep your password and any email sign-in codes confidential, and must not share your account.
  • Administrators are responsible for granting access only to people who need it, assigning appropriate roles, and removing access promptly when it is no longer needed.
  • Tell your administrator and us immediately at info@quanttechnologiesltd.cloud if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You must use the Service lawfully, proportionately and only for your organisation’s legitimate purposes. You must not:

  • use the Service in breach of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 or any other applicable law;
  • use it to target, track, profile or take action against any person because of their political opinions, religion, ethnicity, journalism, activism, or other lawful expression or association;
  • use it to harass, intimidate or endanger anyone, or to identify or locate private individuals for that purpose;
  • use it in a way that breaches the terms of a connected platform — including the X Developer Agreement and Policy, the YouTube API Services Terms, and the terms of the news providers;
  • attempt to obtain non-public content, bypass a platform’s privacy settings, or scrape any platform;
  • sell, license, publish or redistribute content obtained through the Service, or use it to train or fine-tune AI models;
  • interfere with, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend access that we reasonably believe breaches this section.

5. Third-party platforms and content

Content collected through the Service belongs to its authors and is provided by the respective platforms under their own terms. Your use of that content is also subject to those terms. Platforms may change or withdraw access at any time, which may limit what the Service can do.

Where a platform requires it, the Service updates or removes stored content — for example, posts that are deleted, made private or suspended on X are removed from the Service within 24 hours. You must not keep separate copies that defeat these removals.

The Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp., Google LLC or any news provider.

6. Your organisation’s data

Your organisation keeps its rights in the configuration, notes, cases and other material it creates in the Service. We process it to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and keep it confidential. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

7. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that any third-party source will be complete, accurate or timely. We may change, add or remove features. Where a change materially reduces the Service we will give reasonable notice where practical.

8. Suspension and termination

Your organisation may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms, for legal or security reasons, or if a connected platform requires it. When access ends, content obtained from X and other platforms is deleted in line with those platforms’ requirements.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and all content, scores and analysis are provided “as is”. Third-party content may be inaccurate, misleading or incomplete, and automated scoring can be wrong in both directions. You are responsible for verifying information and for any decision or action you take. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Quant Technologies Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Your responsibility

You are responsible for your use of the Service and agree to compensate us for claims arising from use that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version; we will notify administrators of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
